Cipriano Memorial Run

On Saturday October 18th, twenty-six fourth and fifth grade students from Snow Elementary tied on their running shoes and headed to Ford Field in Dearborn to  participate in the third annual Robert Cipriano Cross-Country Meet.  One hundred twenty-three fourth grade girls made up 12 teams from dearborn elementary schools.  Snow’s fourth grade girls that qualified for the race and their finishing times are: Camden Ackers 9:38.7 minutes finished 28 th for her age group.  Malak Alkirsh finished 38th with a time of 10:09.1.  Mia Debiasi finished in 43rd place with a time of   10.16.1.  Helen Hetrick time of 10:56.5 earned her 63rd place.  Yareli Garza finished in 76th with a time of 11:23.5. Avalon Moreau finished in 103rd place with a time of 12:15.2.  Their combined effort earned them 8th place overall out of twelve teams.

It was a fourth grade boy however that had the best time for the school with 7:09.1. that honor went to Khalid Mohamed. He finished third in his age group.   Another fourth grader,  Joshua Lyon,finished with the third fastest time for Snow Elementary finishing 13th overall for his age group with a time of  7:42.4.  18th place went to Cortez Goodlow with a time of 7:55.1.  71rst in his age group was Jonathan Watt with a time of 9:13.9.  Blake Bradham rounded out the fourth grade team with a finish time of 11:03.6 earning him a 141 place out of 168 fourth grade boys.  The team finished fourth out of 16 teams.

Seven 5th grade girls qualified including Mya Hammood who took 5th place for her age group with a time of 7:59.4. Their 8th place finish out of 12 teams was aided by 62nd place Hana Humaisan 10:19.1; 80th Rylee Pulice 10:57.6; 88th Oliva Dobos 11:08.6; 93rd Clara Kanclerz 11:16.7; 97th Jazzlyn Villarreal; and 98th place Analicia Mendez.  One hundred 128 girls ran for the fifth grade age group.

The fifth grade boys finished 12th out of seventeen teams.  A total of 155 boys ran for this age bracket.  Connor Shene finished 24th for his age group with a time of 7:37.3.  This time earned him the second fastest time for a Snow Elementary student.  Seven other fifth grade boys also qualified and ran for the fifth grade team.  Their place and time finishes are as follows:  53rd Ali Jammoul 8:21.7; 71 Mohammed Hamed 8:51.8; 80th Christian Rapley 8:51.8; 90th Jacob Nelson 9:15.5; 109th Wayne Taiman 9:43.5; 118th Frank Jarrell 10:03.2; and 139th Hassan Saab with a time of 11;30.3.

We are very proud of all of the Snow students who qualified and participated in the 3rd  Annual Robert Cipriano Cross-Country Meet.
