Time on your hands? We need your help. Whether you have a little time or a lot, we have
lots of things that could use some assistance. Please help us to continue to run fun filled activities and
events for the children. We can't run smoothly without you! To offer any assistance please contact any
PTA officer or chair. Their e-mail addresses are available under "Your 2007-2008 PTA" link.
Easy ways to help your school, that don't cost you a dime!
Cartridges for Kids...bring in your used printer cartridges, laptops, iPods and cell phones and drop
them in the box in front of the office. The price received varies by items, but typically starts at about 50
cents per ink cartridge and runs up to several dollars for electronic devices. All items are recycled and
properly disposed of. Proceeds support Ms. Kosal's class involvement in Friends of the Rouge.
Campell's Soup Labels...Campbell's lets us redeem UPC's for free stuff for the school ranging
from rubber balls to laptop computers. Eligible product lines include Campbell's, Franco American,
Pepperidge Farms, Swanson's, Prego, V8 and select market Day items. For most products, we must have
the UPC codes. Most UPC's will have a Labels For Education icon next to it. On bottled products, the
screw cap counts as the label. Remember, you no longer need to clip the entire label - just the UPC code
itself. Drop them off in the container outside the office.
Box Tops for Education - look for the Box tops coupon on hundreds of your favorite
products. You can find Box Tops on brands such as Cheerios, Betty Crocker, Pilsbury, Ziploc, Kleenex,
Hefty and more. Clip out the small rectangle and drop it off in the box outside the office. You can
register on their website: www.boxtops4education.com to earn box tops for your school (and print out
coupons for yourself). You can enter monthly contests to win more tops for the school and possibly a
prize for yourself. You can shop at your favorite online stores, through the box Tops Marketplace. There
are over 60 online stores including JCPenny, Oriental Trading, Expedia, GAP, and Land's End. A
portion of every qualifying purchase is donated to your school - all at no additional cost to you.
Gordon Foods -
Community Rewards - use the card when you pay with cash or debit card at the store
and Snow School will get 1/2% of your purchase price back. Our I number is 212644. You can sign up
online @ www.miejer.com/mcr/rewards.jsp.
Target REDcard - Sign up for a Target VISA card and enroll your eligible school. Target will
donate 1% of your Target and Target.com purchases to your chosen school. Target will also donate
1/2% of purchases made elsewhere to your chosen school. Checks are sent in march and September to
your school's principal.
Tyson Project A+ Box tops - Clip and save Tyson Project A+ labels from participating Tyson products.
Turn in the labels at your school. Your school redeems them for cash. Each label is worth 24 cents.
Paper recycling - Snow School now has a Paper Retriver recycling bin in the parking lot.
Newspapers, office paper, magazines and catalogs are all accepted. (No cardboard or plastic, please.) The
PTA earns between $5 and $20 a ton depending on the quality and quantity of the paper collected.
